On behalf of the Central Ohio Chiefs Association, I want to extend our deepest thoughts and prayers to the Columbus Division of Police and the officer who was tragically injured in the line of duty yesterday.
The dangers our officers face each day in service to their communities are immense and unpredictable. This incident is a painful reminder of the sacrifices law enforcement officers make in the pursuit of keeping our neighborhoods safe. As a profession, we must always remember that the courage to protect and serve comes at a personal cost, one that too many officers pay.
We stand united with the Columbus Police and will continue to support them during this difficult time. Our collective thoughts are with the injured officer, their family, and their colleagues as they navigate the recovery process.
We will keep the officer in our hearts and prayers, and we remain committed to supporting all those who serve to keep us safe.
